Today the Hermitage boasts a spectacular collection of rarities such as the mummy of an ancient Egyptian priest; the mechanical automaton “Golden Peacock”; two of the fourteen surviving works by the great Leonardo da Vinci; a collection of unique Rembrandt paintings and much more. In total there are more than three and a half million unique exhibits housed in the Hermitage complex. Today you get to enjoy the splendid interiors of the Winter palace and see some of the treasures for yourself.

On the way to the museum our audio guide will carry you to a different period of Russian history, when the great Hermitage collection was still young and growing. We will follow the Hermitage history from XVIII century to our days along the main street of Saint-Petersburg  – the Nevsky prospect.
